We’re excited to have new members join the SoberAF community! Whether you're here for support, connection, or inspiration, here’s a quick guide to help you get started and make the most of your experience.
1. Setting Up Your Profile
Once you’ve registered on the site, take a few moments to make sure your profile feels like you.
Add a Profile Photo: This doesn’t have to be a selfie. Feel free to use an icon, avatar, or image that represents you – just remember to keep it PG!
Choose a Display Name: Prefer to stay anonymous? You can show a username or nickname instead of your real name. To update your display name:
Click on your profile icon
Select Profile > Edit Profile
Change your display name and click Save
Public vs. Private Profiles: You control your privacy here.
Public Profile: Visible to other SoberAF members
Private Profile: Only visible to you
2. Joining the Conversation
Our forum page is only accessible to members, so you'll need to sign up to participate. Here’s how:
Sign Up: Click here to sign up
Get Involved: Once signed up, you can join discussions straight away, share your experiences, and connect with others.
If you have any questions or run into any issues, our support team and community moderators are here to help.
3. Fuel the Revolution
Membership to SoberAF will always be free – we believe that cost should never be a barrier to recovery. We want everyone who needs support to be able to access it, no matter their circumstances.
While we do ask for donations if you're in a position to give, there's no pressure and no one's keeping score. Every contribution goes directly into making this community stronger by helping cover the cost of meeting spaces, training, and essential resources.
If you can, please donate here.
